Unilever aimed to develop a rewards program that informs customers about the specific type of good attached to the product they are using or consuming. Through this system, users can scan their purchase receipts to earn reward points, which can then be redeemed for discounts or benefits on future purchases.
When Unilever approached us, they had already developed the comprehensive technical framework for their rewards program. Our responsibility was to design engaging user journeys and visually appealing interfaces. Over an eight-month collaboration, we worked together to create an mobile and a website with web app functionality, providing users with a seamless and intuitive experience.
After completing the high-fidelity wireframes and securing approval on the wireframes, we progressed to developing the style guides and diving into the visual design phase. This allowed us to define the aesthetic direction and translate the structural blueprints into engaging, branded interfaces.
Over the course of eight months, we adopted a strategic approach centered on in-depth visual direction research and the application of UX best practices to shape the app’s information architecture and overall user experience.
Our efforts included:
- Designing a robust information architecture
- Creating custom illustrations, icons, and page templates
- Elevating both the visual appeal and usability of the application
The Unilever Canada team played an instrumental role, offering valuable feedback and ongoing support throughout the project. Their involvement helped me effectively address complex business challenges and contributed significantly to the project’s success.
